As social animals, Theory of Mind is crucial for making sense of behavior and predicting what the person might do next. Deficits in ToM, a form of “mindblindness”, has been known to be universal in many individuals with ASC, autism spectrum condition. This article examines the significance of ToM, and the degree to which individuals with ASC engage in ToM, or lack thereof.
