Abstract: (Show)
Study sought qualitative data on the lived experiences of adults using Headspace, a meditation app created in 2010. Researchers analyzed the journal entries of 12 adults over the duration of 10 meditation sessions and found six common themes: relaxation, thoughts, emotions, senses, breathing, and reduced stress. Findings suggest that relaxation achieved through these smartphone-based meditation sessions supported the process of stress reduction.
